6: Getting Ready

Finally the noise in the bathroom came to an end and Melissa stepped out. She was still wearing the same tight black dress that she'd had at dinner. I cocked an eyebrow in surprise.

"Same dress?"

She shrugged. "I figured he might think something was up if he realized I was wearing different clothes from what I had on at dinner. This way he'll just think that I got cold feet before I finally decided stepping out on you would be fun.
